The JAM is a competitive Mite Tournament.
The Divisions follow USA Hockey's Red (Advanced), White (Intermediate) and Blue (Novice) classifications, with additional brackets added to reflect participating teams competitive experience!

The brackets include:
Blue Minor - True, first-year/beginners
Blue Major - First and second year Blue players not at White skill level
White - True White level players
Pink - Top White teams in large organizations or top white team when organization does not have a red level team
Red - True Red level teams
Premier - Tournament teams, Red teams with majority/all 2009's, top Red teams looking for best competition

All games will be played using hard boards, making mini cross ice and half ice rinks!
All games will be played with intermediate nets; teams will play 4-on-4, plus a goalie.

White and Blue teams will play 30 minute cross ice games.
Pink, Red and Premier teams will play 36 minute half ice games.
Buzzer sounds every 90 seconds to indicate line changes.

The fees are $695 per team for half ice (Advanced) and $575 for cross ice (Intermediate and Novice).
The event is held just north of Pittsburgh in Cranberry Township at the new UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, practice home of the back-to-back Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins!
